Electrical Design Engineer  

Seeking an experienced electrical design engineer with the ability to develop new products as well as support existing products for Swemco customers.  Key skills to include proficiency with digital, analog, and firmware/software development techniques.

Additional details as follows:

  • Education – BSEE and at least 4 to 6 years of product development experience.
  • Develop and support systems/boards from concept to production.
  • Experience utilizing schematic capture, simulation, and other circuit development tools.
  • Experience with code development utilizing methods such as C, C++, Python, Visual Basic, Java Scripting, etc.
  • Schematic capture experience in OrCAD or Altium.
  • PCB design experience especially in Allegro or Altium is a definite plus.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong concentration and attention to detail skills in a multitasking environment.
  • Proficiency utilizing oscilloscopes, meters, and various other test equipment.
  • Position requires working on development projects as well as supporting Swemco customer products when engineering support is necessary to solve problems.
  • Tasks to include development and support of test fixtures as required to support production processes.
  • Tasks to include analyzing and automating test processes to facilitate effectiveness and minimize test escapes and human error.

Electronic Test Technician

  • Troubleshoot printed circuit boards / electronic systems from schematics
  • Knowledge of analog / digital electronic components to support troubleshooting
  • Proficient with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, etc.
  • Ability to understand test procedures of varying complexity
  • Computer skills sufficient to use email, Microsoft Office, and follow/edit test procedures
  • Ability to communicate internally and with customers involving technical issues

  • 2 years inspection experience working with Military / Avionics / Medical IPC Class 3 assemblies required.
